Redeeming them yourself means opening an account on that platform — which these days means verifying your identity. Keep the code to yourself
With crypto cards the code is the money: anyone who sees it can redeem it in seconds. Don't post it or a screenshot of it, and don't send it to a buyer in a chat "so they can check it". If a code was created and then cancelled by the person who gave it to you, the funds go back to them — be wary of codes bought cheaply from strangers.
