How to sell an Amazon gift card for Bitcoin or USDT
KartaCash ·
Maybe it was a gift you'll never spend, or store credit left over from a return. Turning an Amazon gift card into crypto is quick once three things are clear: which Amazon store the card belongs to, which coin you want, and the address it should go to. Here's the whole process.
What you need before you start
- The claim code. On a physical card it's on the back under the scratch-off strip; on an e-gift card it's in Amazon's email. It's usually 14 or 15 letters and numbers.
- The store it's from. An Amazon.com card only works on Amazon.com, an Amazon.co.uk card only on Amazon.co.uk, and so on. The card, the receipt or the sender of the email tells you which.
- An untouched balance. Once a card is redeemed to an Amazon account, the balance stays in that account and can't be sold.
- Somewhere to receive the money: your Bitcoin wallet, or your exchange's USDT deposit address on the right network (more on that below).
Bitcoin or USDT?
USDT is a stablecoin: one USDT is worth about one US dollar, so what you see when you quote is what you have when it lands. It's the practical choice if you'll cash out to dollars or spend it soon.
Bitcoin's price moves. If you want to hold bitcoin anyway, getting paid in BTC saves you a trade; if you'll sell it straight away, USDT spares you the conversion and the risk of the price moving in between.
With USDT the network matters as much as the address. TRC20 (Tron), BEP20 (BNB Chain), Solana, Polygon and Base cost cents to send on; ERC20 (Ethereum) costs a lot more. The network you choose in the quote must match the address you paste: if your exchange gives you a TRC20 address, choose USDT TRC20. Funds sent on the wrong network can be lost.
Step by step on KartaCash
- 1Choose Amazon and the card's countryIn the quote form, search for Amazon and pick the store that issued it (United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Japan…).
- 2Enter the valueType the card's exact balance. Your payout appears instantly.
- 3Choose how to get paidBitcoin, or USDT on your wallet's network. If that network charges a fee, it's shown before you continue, already taken off the total.
- 4Paste your address and emailThe email lets you open your order with a one-time code. No account, no ID documents.
- 5Submit the codeYou enter it in an encrypted form, plus a photo of the back if it's a physical card. The rate locks at that moment.
- 6Review and payoutA person checks the card and, if it's valid, the payout is sent. Once approved, crypto arrives in minutes; most orders are paid in about an hour overall.
How much you get for an Amazon gift card
No buyer pays 100% of a gift card's value: they take the risk that a code is fake or already used, and they have to resell the balance. What differs between buyers is how much they keep, and whether they tell you up front.
On KartaCash the rate depends on the card's country and the amount; today we pay up to 91.0% of the value. The table below is live.
Mistakes that cost money
- Redeeming the card "to check the balance". You can check it without redeeming, and a redeemed card can't be sold.
- Picking the wrong country. An Amazon.com card sold as an Amazon.co.uk card fails review.
- Pasting an address from a different network than the one chosen, or an address for a different coin.
- Sending the code over WhatsApp, Telegram or email to someone who says they'll buy it. Whoever has the code has the balance.
Scams to watch for
If someone told you to buy Amazon gift cards to pay them — a fine, the IRS, tech support, a held parcel, a prize fee — it's a scam: no government agency or real company takes payment that way. Don't sell those cards; contact Amazon as soon as possible, since they can sometimes freeze a balance that hasn't been spent.
Be wary too of buyers on social media who want the code "to verify it" before paying, or who send a screenshot of a payment that never arrives. On KartaCash the code is only entered in your order's form; we'll never ask for it by email, Telegram or phone.
Do I need an account or ID?
No. Just an email address, so you can follow your order and we can reach you if anything's needed.
Can I sell several Amazon cards at once?
Yes, even from different countries. Add them to one order and receive a single payout.
What if the code was already used?
A code that's invalid or already redeemed isn't paid. Any other valid cards in the same order are still paid in full.
Can I get dollars instead of crypto?
Yes: PayPal in USD, EUR, GBP or MXN, or a bank transfer by ACH (USD), SEPA (EUR) or SPEI (MXN). Or cash pickup with Western Union.
